Simpson University Celebrates Spring Commencement
More than 2,000 friends and family members visited campus April 29 to watch approximately 185 graduates receive their degrees from Simpson's traditional undergraduate, adult and graduate studies programs. The ceremony featured guest speaker Caleb Stegall, a Kansas Supreme Court Justice. The event capped a week of special events, including a nursing pinning ceremony and honor society inductions. Congratulations to all our graduates and their families!

Nursing Grads Honor Classmate
The fifth class of students to graduate from the Betty M. Dean School of Nursing celebrated their achievement with family and friends at a special pinning ceremony. A highlight was dedication of the class gift to former classmate Scott Mathews, a U.S. Army veteran who served in Desert Storm and has been diagnosed with ALS.

Strike Teams Earn Civic Recognition
Redding's Good News Rescue Mission and Northern Valley Catholic Social Service recognized Simpson University's Strike Teams program this spring at their volunteer awards ceremonies. The mission named Strike Teams its Civic Organization of the Year for its help with cleaning, gardening, event setup and cleanup. Students and staff volunteer weekly with Strike Teams to meet immediate needs in the community.
